At Concordia, I developed a deep understanding of language structure, syntax, semantics, and phonology. The program strengthened my analytical thinking, research and communication skills. I completed several projects on language acquisition and sociolinguistics. This degree laid the foundation for my passion for education and language development.
Through Yorkville's M.Ed program, I gained a comprehensive understanding of leadership in educational settings. The coursework emphasized instructional leadership, school culture, and policy development. I also completed a capstone project, "Exploring the Underlying Mechanisms Involved in the Development of Tourette Syndrome: How Music Therapy Improves TICS". During my studies, I also honed my abilities to lead professional learning communities, create and implement a learning project while using various LMS methodologies, specifically, the ADDIE model.
This learning design program equipped me with the practical tools to design, evaluate, and improve learning experiences in both in-person and digital environments. I gained expertise in curriculum design, e-learning development, assessment strategies, and learning technologies. This certificate solidified my commitment to designing inclusive, engaging, and effect educational experiences.
